And so, the ultimate sequence of one other fruitless yr is upon us.
Nick Pivetta will take the mound tonight in what could possibly be his remaining begin in a Pink Sox uniform. In that case, his most memorable innings right here got here in opposition to this very Rays staff in October of 2021, when he helped pitch the Sox to the ALCS. Sadly, the Sox haven’t been in a position to get again to the postseason since, and sadly, the environment at Fenway Park will possible replicate that over the weekend.
In a dream state of affairs, this would be the remaining sequence of this period of empty Pink Sox baseball, and once they play their subsequent one within the spring, it’ll daybreak a brand new period of competitiveness, and usher in a renewed buzz round this staff that was as soon as commonplace round these components for many years.
Till then although, that is the final sequence of Pink Sox baseball till subsequent yr, and boy is it a miserable one.
