BOSTON (AP) — Shohei Ohtani didn’t homer — for the primary time in every week – however Teoscar Hernandez did on Friday evening because the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Boston Crimson Sox 5-2.
Ohtani, who had tied the franchise file by homering in 5 consecutive video games, struck out twice, singled, walked and popped up foul to the catcher. Hernandez had two hits for the Dodgers, together with a two-run homer that made it 5-2 within the eighth.
Emmet Sheehan (2-1) held Boston to 3 hits, hanging out 5 in 5 innings. Ben Casparius pitched the ninth for his first profession save.
